Disputed United States-funded GHF Aid Organization Terminates Aid Operations
The debated, American and Israeli-supported Gaza relief foundation announces it is concluding its aid operations in the Palestinian territory, after almost six months.
The organisation had previously halted its multiple aid distribution centers in Gaza subsequent to the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel came into force recently.
The foundation sought to bypass the UN as the chief distributor of humanitarian assistance to Gazans.
International relief agencies would not collaborate with its approach, stating it was improper and dangerous.
Many residents were lost their lives while seeking food amid disorderly situations near the foundation's locations, primarily from Israeli forces, based on UN documentation.
Israeli authorities stated its soldiers fired alerting fire.
Program Termination
The organization declared on the beginning of the week that it was terminating work now because of the "effective conclusion of its humanitarian effort", with a total of three million packages containing the equivalent of more than 187 million meals delivered to Palestinians.
The organization's top administrator, the executive director, additionally stated the US-led Civil-Military Coordination Centre (CMCC) - which has been created to help execute US President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan - would be "adopting and expanding the system the foundation tested".
"The organization's system, in which militant groups were prevented from misappropriating relief supplies, had major impact in getting Hamas to the table and achieving a ceasefire."

Hamas - which denies stealing aid - approved the termination of the GHF, based on information.
An official from declared the foundation should be subject to scrutiny for the harm it caused to Palestinians.
"We urge all global human rights groups to guarantee that responsibility is assigned after leading to casualties and wounds of many residents and covering up the starvation policy implemented by the Israeli government."
Organization Timeline
The foundation started work in Gaza on 26 May, a seven days following the Israeli government had moderately reduced a comprehensive closure on relief and commercial goods to Gaza that persisted for nearly three months and caused severe shortages of necessary provisions.
Three months later, a nutritional emergency was proclaimed in Gaza City.
The foundation's nourishment distribution centers in southern and central Gaza were managed by United States-based protection companies and located inside Israeli military zones.
Aid Organization Objections
United Nations agencies and their collaborators claimed the approach breached the core assistance standards of non-partisanship, even-handedness and self-determination, and that guiding distressed residents into military-controlled areas was intrinsically hazardous.
International human rights monitoring body said it recorded the fatalities of no fewer than 859 Gazans trying to acquire sustenance in the proximity to foundation locations between late May through end of July.
A further 514 persons were lost their lives close to the routes of UN and other aid convoys, it also mentioned.
The majority of these individuals were killed by the Israel's armed forces, according to the office.
Contrasting Reports
The Israeli military said its forces had released alerting fire at individuals who came near them in a "menacing" fashion.
The foundation stated there were no shootings at the aid sites and alleged that United Nations of using "false and misleading" data from the Palestinian health authority administered by Hamas.

The GHF's future had been indefinite since Palestinian factions and Israeli authorities consented a truce agreement to carry out the initial stage of the United States' reconciliation proposal.
It said relief provision would take place "without interference from the both sides through the United Nations and its agencies, and the humanitarian medical organization, in combination with other global organizations not associated in any manner" with Hamas and Israel.
International organization official the international body's communicator declared this week that the GHF's shutdown would have "no influence" on its operations "as we never partnered with them".
He also said that while increased relief was entering the region since the truce was implemented on October 10th, it was "not enough to address all necessities" of the 2.1 million population.
