The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.
Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company still intends to attract subscribers with quality releases on its key platform.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Major Titles on the Horizon
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they were due initially — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
