Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A toddler was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
